VK10S-CLA is a charge amplifier developed for R&D and experimental applications. This product adopts a variable sensitivity charge conversion unit, an input impedance conversion unit, a low noise amplification unit, an adjustable filter unit, a low noise power supply unit, and so on. This makes this product have the advantages of high accuracy, ultra-low noise, high rejection ratio, wide measurement range, and low temperature drift, and is suitable for various occasions of precision charge measurement. At the same time, the amplifier integrates a voltage measurement unit, which can perform a simple voltage vs impedance evaluation of charge/piezoelectric materials.
The VK10S-CLA laboratory charge amplifier uses an all-metal shield and an internal core unit that is individually shielded again to isolate interference on both sides. The power supply unit is designed with a wide input range and high reliability. This product is suitable for applications with strong industrial interference, and has the advantages of moisture and shock resistance.

Use of amplifiers

1. Input impedance (Z input)
The amplifier can switch four resistance values: 1M Ω, 10M Ω, 100M Ω, and 1G Ω. The characteristic is that the smaller the input impedance, the faster the discharge and attenuation of the charge will be. Therefore, if there is a high requirement for signal speed, a low resistance value can be selected, but if there is a high requirement for low-frequency signals, a large resistance value can be selected. Usually used in conjunction with sensitivity.
2、Sensitivity
There are four options for charge sensitivity: 100pC/V, 1nC/V, 10nC/V, and 100nC/V. The higher the sensitivity, the smaller the Cf value.
Pay great attention to using it together with the input impedance (Z input). The lower the sensitivity, the greater the Cf value, and the smaller the effect of the resistance on the charge.

So we suggest:
If low frequency response is required, it is configured as low sensitivity+high input impedance;
If high frequency response is required, it is configured as high sensitivity+low input impedance;
If low frequency response is required, it is configured as low sensitivity+high input impedance;
If high frequency response is required, it is configured as high sensitivity+low input impedance;
3、Gain
The use of Gain is for re amplification when the output signal is weak.
In general, we do not recommend using gain amplification to maintain the gear at x1.
If it is necessary to use gears 1 and 5, and try not to use gears x20 x100.

When it is necessary to use the x20x100 gear to evaluate the signal, it is recommended to recheck whether the sensitivity is too low.
